Sabina Ćudić, a member of the Delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and the first chairwoman of the PSVE Monitoring Committee, said that the two-day seminar will offer a serious scientific and political discussion on the constitutional arrangement of BiH, the pressures we are under and ways to implement the judgments of the European Court of Human Rights.
She recalled the pressures under which the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina is under, but also Bosnia and Herzegovina itself when it comes to the foreign policy of certain world actors, which is why this is an extraordinary opportunity to demonstrate to the representatives of 28 countries how these pressures destabilize not only Bosnia and Herzegovina, but the region and Europe.
– I think this is a two-step game in which, in the first step, we have to stop that malignant external influence and then work on our solutions related to the implementation of judgments and ensuring what we are fighting for, which is the equality of both citizens and constituent nations, and there are certainly models both in Europe and in the world that offer that kind of balance – said Ćudić.
She added that it is necessary to send a message to Europe that we want to be part of the European Union and that we want European and not some other standards, and that Bosnia and Herzegovina must move in a direction that will not lead to further ethnicization, but lead to greater equality of citizens and peoples and the abolition of discrimination in both entities.
