The lecture on the importance of the hijab as religious clothing for women Muslim women held a mother and daughter Vesna Domuz and Sanja Domuz Sadikovic.
Throughout the lecture, the spiritual, cultural and social aspects of the hijab, emphasizing its importance in the identity of the Muslim woman.
During the program, the organizers shared appropriate awards, and after lectures, coffee and cake, where women were the opportunity to exchange experiences and discuss challenges and beauties wearing hijab.
The coordinator of the Muftice and Family Muftitude Bihać, ŠUHRA Terzić, pointed out the importance of marking this day and its importance for women who wear hijab.
-The excellation of the hijab day reminds of the universal right of women to choose their way of dressing. Through education and socializing, we strive to break prejudices and stereotypes about covered women and hijabs at all. It is especially striking that during such marking many women decide to carry a hijab for a day, which do not only promote the values of the hijab, but these women have the opportunity to feel at least a brief. “Terzic said.
World Hijab Day is celebrated every year 1. February, with the aim of raising awareness of women Muslim women to the freedom of choice in dressing and promoting the understanding of the hijab as part of religious identity.
