Bosnia and Herzegovina could receive new modernized banknotes of the convertible mark in 2028, announced the governor of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Jasmina Selimović.
The new banknotes will have an improved design compared to the current ones, but the characters and symbols on them will remain the same. Banknotes will be made of more environmentally friendly materials, have improved security features and the possibility of their forgery will be minimal. Also, they will be adapted for people with impaired vision, which will be a novelty in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Vice-governor Marko Vidaković said that the new KM banknotes will contain everything that the euro banknotes now have, reports Indikator ba.
The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina approved the Bank’s production of new banknotes, and the Central Bank announces that they should be in circulation from 2028, the year when the central BH. monetary institution celebrates 30 years of existence.
