A 31-year-old OC from Kalesija, who was arrested in an intoxicated state on Saturday for domestic violence, died in the Kalesija detention center.
˝On Saturday, the police officers of PS Kalesija acting on a report of domestic violence, and after it was determined that the reported OK (1994) was under the influence of alcohol, according to the instructions of the judge of the Municipal Court in Kalesija, they deprived him of his liberty and detained him in the detention facilities of PS Kalesija, and he was also sentenced to an emergency protective measure due to domestic violence. The duty prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of Tuzla Canton was informed about the event. On Sunday, at 7:33 a.m., it was reported to the Operation Center of the Police Administration of the MUP of TK that the person OK, who was detained in the Kalesi Police Station’s detention facilities, was not showing signs of life, and that the Emergency Department of the Health Center was called, where upon arriving at the scene, the coroner declared the death of OK, without visible injuries and signs of violent death,” the Police Administration of the MUP of TK reported.
The duty prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of Tuzla Canton was informed about the incident, who conducted an investigation with the investigation team of the Criminal Police Sector of the Police Directorate of the MUP TK, and issued an order for the transportation and autopsy of the body of the deceased. All further measures and actions to determine the exact factual situation and circumstances of the death of OK will be undertaken under the supervision and according to the instructions of the cantonal prosecutor.
