The Federal Minister of Energy, Mining and Industry Vedran Lakić said that the OPERAL ACCESSICAL DEVELOPMENT OF BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA would have passed and that special attention is paid to the former miners, to enable them to transition to other labor market sectors.
– Our goal is to spend this process in a humane and economically sustainable way, transition to environmentally friendly electricity sources. With the help of the World Bank, we have the opportunity to improve energy stability and independence with the implementation of just and economically incentive transition. Just the transition implies not only the closure of the mine, but also care of the workers, supporting the development of local communities based on the coal industry – Lakić emphasized.
The World Bank has approved more than 80m euros for financing the project fair transition in the Federation of BiH. The money is intended for financing projects in selected regions of rich coal, and the planned duration of its implementation is from 2025. by 2030, Hairdryer transmits.
– The project includes a conversion of former mines in Banovići, Zenica and Cracks, and supports the closure of mining pits in Zenica. In addition, on the mine land in Banovići and Cracks, installation of plant for renewable energy with the creation of new jobs – said Lakić, the Federal Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry said.
