The notorious leader of the gang died after the courtroom at Sri Lanka shot the attacker disguised in the lawyer, police confirmed.
According to police sources, the attacker used a revolver that smuggled a woman suspected in the crime in the hollow book, which is still on the run.
The leader of the Sanjeewa Kumara Samararathne, also known as Ganemulle Sanjeewa, was brought to the court for the hearing when it was shot. Police states that he was suspected of more murders.

Authorities published a call with a cash prize for information on her. Police also arrested a police officer and the driver of the van that suspected of helping attackers in the organization of shootings.
The incident also opened the question of security in the courtroom, which is why the authorities are currently reviewing security measures. Following the shootings, new safety protocols are introduced, including the deployment of armed guards when bringing certain people to the Court. Armed security guards is not allowed to access the court, the Minister of Justice of Harshan Nanayakkara said on Thursday.
According to police data transmitted by AFP, at least nine people were killed this year in a series of shootings related to rival gangs.
