Dejan Kostić Dela (35), former leader of the Borca fans, was shot in the head with several shots fired from a pistol. At the time of the shooting, Kostić was armed with a Glock pistol, which was found at the scene of the crime with a bullet in the barrel and will be sent for expert examination.
– Four pistol casings were found at the scene. Kostić was hit in the head with several shots, and a gun with a bullet in the barrel was found next to him. An automatic rifle was also found, which was in the trunk of Kostić’s car, says an ATV source, stating that Kostić, by all accounts, did not even get to use the weapon.
The motive and circumstances of the crime are being investigated in detail.
What is known is that on the critical evening, Kostić clashed with a group of people from Banja Luka’s criminal milieu, who were celebrating their birthday in Stara Ada. Among them were Jelenko Kopranović alias Sjenica, Aljoša Galić, Jovica Grujić and others, who were detained after the shooting and are undergoing criminal investigation.
– Kostić came to the restaurant for lunch with his wife and child. The other company was already celebrating a lot and there were quarrels and quarrels between them. After that, Kostić left the restaurant to hide his wife and child. He went home to get a weapon and returned by himself in a “Pezzo” car in front of the restaurant where he was killed, according to the source ATV-a.
He explains that Kostić’s wife followed him from home in another vehicle and upon arriving at the parking lot, she found him dead. Shocked by what she saw, she started screaming and lay down on top of her husband’s bloody body. She fell ill from the shock, which is why she was given medical help.
What do they say from the Prosecutor’s Office?
The Banja Luka police arrested several people as part of the investigation into the murder of Dejan Kostić in front of the Stara ada restaurant, and the search for one person is ongoing, said the Banja Luka District Public Prosecutor’s Office.
The Prosecutor’s Office states that Kostić was killed yesterday around 18:50 in the parking lot of the Banja Luka restaurant “Stara ada”, when an unknown person shot him with a pistol. Prosecutor Sanja Guzina ordered that the necessary investigative actions and measures be taken with the aim of discovering the perpetrator of the murder and elucidating this criminal act.
Persons deprived of their liberty are undergoing criminal investigation, and the investigation is ongoing.
Traces that will be used for the purposes of criminal proceedings were removed from the scene, and an autopsy was ordered, which will be performed at the Institute of Forensic Medicine of the Republic of Srpska.
The on-site investigation was carried out by duty prosecutor Sanja Guzina together with police officers from the Banjaluka Police Department.
After the shooting, several people who were at the celebration were detained, while some ran away. Due to the suspicion that he shot Kostić, they are looking for Nemanja Sjenica, the son of Jelenko Kopranović, who is still unavailable to the investigative authorities. As part of the investigation, other persons are being questioned, witnesses who were in the restaurant on the critical evening, as well as people from the criminal milieu who could have useful information for the investigation.
