A 25-year-old girl was seriously injured when a car crashed into a protest procession in Belgrade, the media reported on Friday, while a general strike continues across Serbia.
The police and the ambulance intervened and took her to the hospital

In a similar way ten days ago, a student of the Faculty of Law in Belgrade was seriously injured, and the driver was charged with attempted aggravated murder.
Tens of thousands of people are on the streets of Belgrade on Friday after students called for a general strike demanding the authorities’ responsibility for the death of 15 people in a falling canopy at the train station in Novi Sad.
Numerous private companies, cafes, cultural institutions, bookstores were closed. Shopping malls are half-empty, leading theaters have canceled performances, lawyers have suspended their work for three days, and some media outlets have announced that they will mainly report on the protests.
The pro-government media try to create the impression that everything in the country is functioning completely normally, with headlines such as “The general strike failed, everything is working”, “Serbia did not stop”, The general strike failed”.
At the same time, a rally was announced in Jagodina, to which the ruling Serbian Progressive Party invited.
The gathering of Vučić’s supporters in Jagodina should mark the formation of a “people’s movement of decent Serbia”, as Vučić called it, trying to gain as much support as possible as a counterweight to mass protests whose goal is the fight for a fairer society based on the constitution and laws, the rule of law and institutions, reports Serbian media.
