Two students of the first grade of the Vladimir Nazor Gymnasium in Zadar were suspended for eight days because they published the so-called death list on social networks, which included the names of ten students and seven teachers. Professional services reacted immediately.
That so-called death list stated that this was all just a joke. The school reacted immediately and informed all competent services.
The principal of the school, Sonja Shango, told HTV’s central Dnevnik that the class teacher learned yesterday that there was a list and that the students were immediately interviewed.
“We acted according to the protocol for dealing with violence among young people. Parents were invited to the interview, we interviewed the students and the injured students. We also informed the administrative department for education and culture, our head. We also reported to the county coordinator of interdepartmental cooperation according to the protocol. Everything is recorded and reported. I think we did everything the school was supposed to do to protect the safety of our students and teachers,” Shango said.
The list was compiled by a first-grade student who was suspended from classes for eight days.
“In the meantime, we will have all the conversations that need to be had.” “Parents, students and teachers will be at the meeting, and then we will decide on the pedagogical measure at the teachers’ council,” said Shango.
She also said that she believes that the parents will be under the supervision of social services.
She pointed out that the students immediately said yesterday that they were sorry and that they had no evil thoughts, but that they had to react to such a list, because of the events that happened in the past months and years in the environment.
Shango also said that this morning classes were held normally and that everyone was at school.
