In the operational-tactical operation, codenamed ‘Fingirane 2’, in the area of Central Bosnia Canton, GP (1989) and IK (1991) from Travnik were deprived of their freedom on suspicion of forging documents and serious theft.
This action was carried out by police officers of the Federal Police Administration, Travnik Field Office for the Central Bosnia Canton, Canton 10 and Una-Sana Canton, Criminal Police Sector.
As part of that action, searches were carried out at several locations. Expensive cars, “signal jammers”, a large amount of money in various denominations, forged driver’s licenses, car parts, mobile phones, SIM cards, as well as other items that will be used as evidence in criminal proceedings were found.
The persons detained in that operation are suspected of having faked a large number of traffic accidents in the previous period, using vehicles with forged chassis numbers and forged documents – driver’s licenses, in order to collect insurance from insurance companies and thereby obtain illegal financial benefits.
After criminal processing in the Field Office of the Federal Police Administration in Travnik, they will be handed over to the acting prosecutor of the SBK Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office within the legal term, along with a report on the crime committed.
