Vehid Murić, who is suspected of having committed a triple murder in Podgorica, was arrested, the police announced.
“The police officers of the Police Directorate of the Regional Security Center “North”, with continuous support and cooperation with the officers of the Regional Security Center “Centar”, after conducting extensive operational activities and precisely executed tactical actions, located VM (25) from Rožaj, suspected of the criminal offense of aggravated murder, in an open area in the inner city of Rožaj, and deprived him of his liberty, which was notified to the state prosecutor in the Higher State Prosecutor’s Office in Podgorica,” the statement reads.
As pointed out, it is suspected that Murić previously, in the Podgorica neighborhood of Stari Aerodrom, took the lives of three people: DH (27) and NH (34) from Rožaj, as well as KM (55), a citizen of the Republic of Serbia from Novi Pazar.
The suspect will be brought to the Higher State Prosecutor’s Office in Podgorica with a criminal complaint for further jurisdiction.
Let’s recall that the media previously reported that a triple murder took place at the Old Airport in Podgorica. The Montenegrin police confirmed that three lifeless bodies of adult men were found in an apartment in this settlement.
Montenegrin media have reported that it is not about dealing with criminal groups and that the police are looking for Vehid Murić from Rožaj, who is suspected of having committed a triple murder, and it is believed that the crime was committed in a rented apartment during the night, reports Vijesti. Montenegrin media previously reported that brothers from Rožaj, Denis and Nezrin Hot, were killed in Podgorica, while the third victim was Kenan Miraljemović from Novi Pazar.
The head of the Basic State Prosecutor’s Office in Rožaje, Aldin Kalač, said earlier today that the mother of Vehid Murić (25) called the police after her son confessed to the crime.
