The lifeless body of a man was found in the Neretva River, in the area of Konjic, and the police arrested the owner of the rafting and the skipper after the first operative information, it was confirmed by the MUP of Herzegovina-Neretva County.
As stated in the police statement, on June 13, 2026, at 4:15 p.m., Konjic addressed the Police Department PF from Konjic, who reported that while going down the river Neretva with a group of colleagues in a boat, at the location of Kalajdžino potok, near the noise “S”, he noticed the lifeless body of an unknown male person floating on the surface of the river.
According to the report, the body was carried by the river downstream towards Džajići, in the area of Konjic municipality.
Police officers and emergency workers came to the scene. Operative work established that it was about ME (1989) from Tuzla.
The doctor on duty of the Konjic Emergency Service examined the body and observed injuries in the head area, while, according to initial information, death most likely occurred by drowning.
Police officers also found out about the owner of the rafting and the skipper. They were found, arrested and brought to official premises for criminal processing.
The prosecutor on duty, as well as the Criminal Police Department, were informed about everything. An investigation was carried out at the scene, and the police continue to take all necessary measures and actions to shed light on the circumstances of this event, writes Depo.ba.
