Gold rose more than 2 percent, boosted by a weaker dollar, while falling oil prices eased concerns about rising inflation and higher global interest rates, amid reports of a U.S. plan to end the war.
Gold rose 2.1 percent to $4,568.29 an ounce, while U.S. gold futures for April delivery rose 3.8 percent to $4,569.4.
The dollar weakened, making dollar-priced gold bullion cheaper for holders of other currencies.
Silver rose 3.8 percent to $73.94 an ounce.
