Gurda and Čamdžić-Brčaninović are charged, according to an earlier announcement by the BiH Prosecutor’s Office, with war crimes against the civilian population, namely Gurda as a security officer of the Territorial Defense (TO) Živinica, and Čamdžić-Brčaninović as a member of the Military Police of Živinica TO.
The indictment states that, in the period from May to September 1992, they inhumanely treated civilians of Serbian nationality illegally imprisoned in detention facilities and premises in the area of Živinice and the surrounding area, torturing them, thereby causing them severe physical and mental pain and suffering, as well as injuries to their physical integrity and health.
