Union banka dd Sarajevo successfully completed the 2025 business year with strong growth in all key business segments and achievement of set goals.
The total assets of Union Bank at the end of 2025 amounted to over 1.55 billion KM and compared to the previous year 2024, it recorded a growth of 21%, deposits amounted to 1.33 billion KM with a growth of 22%, a double-digit percentage growth of the loan portfolio was achieved and the total interest-bearing assets exceeded the amount of 1 billion KM.
At the same time, the quality of the loan portfolio has been maintained at an extremely high level, as indicated by the share of non-performing loans in the total loan portfolio of only 0.5%, making Union Bank the best bank on the market. The total regulatory capital amounts to more than 202 million KM, and the regulatory capital rate of 34% shows strength and stability and the potential for further growth and development.
In cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Finance, i.e. the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, activities on the implementation of the long-term housing lending program for young people were continued, and the funds allocated for this purpose of over 40 million KM were fully used in record time, which once again confirmed the quality and expediency of this product, but also the readiness of Union Bank to respond to the great demand of the market. Through partnerships with domestic and international institutions, projects supporting energy efficiency and sustainable development were implemented.
The process of improving digital and operational capacities, expanding the business network, increasing the number of modern ATMs, developing new products and additionally strengthening the availability and quality of services continued in 2025.
Although the business model of Union Bank, as the only commercial bank in majority state ownership, is not aimed at maximizing profits, a significant increase in profits was achieved, which will be directed towards further strengthening and expansion of operations, with the aim of providing the most favorable conditions for lending and banking services to clients. In this way, Union Bank remains committed to the development of the domestic economy, creating better living conditions for citizens and strengthening the position of one of the leading service banks for the public sector in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
And in 2026, Union banka will continue with transparent, responsible and sustainable operations with gratitude to all clients, partners, shareholders and employees who contribute to the results and trust that lasts.
