Police officers of the Federal Police Administration, Department for Combating Computer Crime, under the supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of Tuzla Canton, and acting according to the order of the Municipal Court in Lukavac, in the area of Tuzla Canton, yesterday deprived a person with the initials IB (1993) of his liberty, who is connected with the commission of the criminal offense “Exploiting a child for pornography” under Article 210h. Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Acting on the order of the Court, the police officers of the Federal Police Administration searched the premises used by the mentioned person, during which they found and temporarily confiscated items and digital evidence that will be subject to further criminal and forensic processing.
A preliminary examination of the exempted digital devices and data carriers found more than 250 photos and video recordings, which there are grounds for suspecting that they represent material created by the exploitation of children for pornography. Also, there is a reason to suspect that the said person has been associated with obtaining, possessing and other forms of dealing with such illegal content for a long period of time.
A person deprived of liberty will, after criminal processing in the official premises of the Federal Police Administration, be handed over to the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of the Tuzla Canton, along with a report on the crime committed.
The Federal Police Administration continues to carry out intensive activities to detect, document and prosecute criminal offenses in the field of computer crime, with a special focus on the protection of children and minors from all forms of sexual exploitation and abuse in the digital space, announced the FUP.
