In the settlement of Jehovac in the area of Kiseljak municipality, a serious crime took place this morning in which, according to unconfirmed information, one woman was killed, while another person suffered serious injuries. The suspect for the attack was arrested after an intensive police search, it was confirmed by the competent institutions.
“He was successfully located with the help of members of the Intelligence and Security Agency, after which the said person was detained with visible injuries. He is currently at the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo,” said Karadža from the KSB MUP. As reported by the Viteški.ba portal, the perpetrator shot himself in the head after the murder and attempted murder. Also, as it turns out, the wounded woman is in a very serious condition and is at UKCS, where doctors are fighting for her life.
According to the information provided by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Central Bosnia Canton, the incident was reported to the Kiseljak Police Station this morning at 7:55 a.m. via a phone call from an unknown person.
After the report was received, police patrols were immediately sent to the field, which upon arrival confirmed the allegations of the report and found two people from the immediate family who were exposed to firearms. One of them died on the spot, while the other was transported to a health facility with serious injuries.
The police have identified the suspect as a male MP (1972) from Kiseljak, who, according to current knowledge, used firearms against two members of his family — his wife and mother-in-law.
The Ministry of Interior of the SBK stated that the investigation is ongoing and that further investigations are being carried out under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office in order to determine all the circumstances and motives of this serious crime.
