After a physical confrontation with several people, he tragically lost his life 66 year old, who otherwise spent his life and working life in Slovenia and Germany, and planned to receive his pension in his native bosom. Unfortunately, despite the plans, for the family Smajic this January will be remembered as the darkest moment in lifewrites the Black Chronicle.
In the village of Miričina, municipality of Gračanica,It was organized on January 10, 2025 “Blue Evening” in the organization FK Lokomotiv Miričina. The charity evening was intended for sympathizers and members of the club who would support the Miričina Football Club with their donations. A beautiful story ended tragically.
In the private area of the former catering facility “Spider”, where the “Blue Evening” was held, the event was not reported to the competent institutions, nor did the organizers from FC Lokomotiv provide any kind of security for people and guests, as well as the facility itself.
At the end of “Blue Evening” a man Senad Smajić went outside to start the car to keep his family warm as well. Then an unfortunate event followed where local thugs from the village (five of them) attacked and beat him. After she left the facility and saw what was happening, his wife asked for help from the employees of the sports collective as well as the owner of the facility. However, none of them responded to help, and they did not even want to call the police officers.
Senad’s wife Asmira called a relative who immediately came to help, but unfortunately he was also beaten. Fortunately, cousin AM managed to pass with only minor injuries.
The police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Turkey arrived at the scene after 30 minutes and without an ambulance, even though they were properly informed about everything. Locals were forced to load him into a private vehicle where he was rushed to a health facility. He had severe brain injuries, broken ribs, an emergency operation was performed, after which he was in a coma for 4 days, and unfortunately he died on January 15 from his injuries.
The funeral of the victim was performed at the Njivice cemetery in Gornja Miričina.
It took the police officers 7 days to establish all the facts and to arrest several people for inflicting serious bodily injuries and murder. The prosecutor is waiting to officially confirm how he will characterize this criminal offense and whether the “dangerous boys” who killed the unfortunate Senad will be sentenced to one month’s detention.
Senad Smajić was an exemplary citizen. He spent 40 years on the field in Slovenia and Germany, where he met a large number of friends of all nationalities. He never had a problem. He finally came home to await his retirement, but unfortunately that wish was denied him. The whole village mourns for him. He came to his native Bosnia and Herzegovina to complete the paperwork for his pension.
The deceased Senad is survived by his wife Asmira, son Anel, daughters Ervina and Amra, sister Senada and numerous other relatives and neighbors, reports pressmediabih.com.
