Milorad Dodik, President of the Republika Srpska and Miloš Lukic, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina today at 1 pm, will say the first-instance verdict on the indictment charged with the decisions of the High Representative for BiH Christian Schmidt.
The Criminal Code of BiH for non-compliance with the High Representative decisions envisages a prison sentence of six months to five years. The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina requested that the accused will be uttered more severe penalties, closer to the legal maximum, as well as the measures of the function of the function, and the prohibition of official duty for a period of ten years.
“Tent settlement” in front of NSRS, in anticipation of Dodik’s judgment
Dodik and his close associates have already threatened with ‘radical measures’ to take whether the judgment is convicted. By defying these decisions, Dodik still signed a decree of the declaration of two annulled laws. Two heads of the “Official Gazette” were resigned in just a few months, so Miloš Lukić was in the end, as the acting director, the laws adopted in the Official Gazette.
The Prosecution was then filed by the indictment against them for several months. Years.
Dodik and Lukić are accused from 1. to 9. July 2023. In Banja Luka, knowing that the High Representative Christian Schmidt has made a decision to prevent the entry into force of two laws, continued with legal actions by not applying and not implementing decisions High Representative.
According to the first point of the indictment, Dodik, using the official powers, made the declaration of the Law on the Law on Law and other regulations of the Republika Srpska, who has hithertally adopted by the National Assembly. Prosecutors in the indictment claimed that Dodik was aware that the decisions of the High Representative were binding in accordance with his powers. At the second point, Lukić, as the acting director of the “Official Gazette of the Republika Srpska”, 9. July signed a form that enabled the publication of the decisions and laws forwarded by Dodik.
“Dodik and Lukić, as officials in Republika Srpska institutions, did not apply and conduct the decisions of the High Representative for BiH,” stands in the indictment, which adds to commit the criminal offense “non-execution of the High Representative Decisions.”
