In Bosnia and Herzegovina, the total deposits of the domestic sectors at the end of April amounted to 38.2 billion KM and are higher by 651 million KM or 1.7 percent compared to the previous month, according to data from the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The increase in deposits was registered by the population by 288.5 million KM or 1.4 percent, by non-financial public companies by 61.8 million KM or 3.1 percent, by government institutions by 184.3 million KM or 3.9 percent, and by other domestic sectors by 126.4 million KM or 5.9 percent.
In the same period, deposits with private companies decreased by 10 million KM or 0.1 percent.
In the structure of household deposits, the largest part refers to transaction accounts, 50.7 percent, demand deposits account for 19.8 percent, while time deposits account for 29.5 percent of total household deposits.
The annual growth rate of total deposits in April was 11.6 percent, which in absolute terms is 3.98 billion KM.
The annual growth of deposits was registered in the household sector by 2.35 billion KM or 12.9 percent, in the structure of which transaction accounts grew by 16.5 percent, demand deposits by 7.7 percent, and term deposits by 10.7 percent.
The growth of deposits at the annual level was also recorded in private companies by 688.7 million KM or 8.8 percent, government institutions by 630 million KM or 14.8 percent, non-financial public companies by 77 million KM or 3.9 percent, and in other domestic sectors by 231 million KM or 11.4 percent.
