Early this morning, simultaneous searches began at 24 locations, and it is a continuation of the “Pyramid” operation, which is carried out by the Police Department of the Ministry of the Interior of the Zenica-Doboj Canton in cooperation with the Federal Police Department, the Ministry of the Interior of the Republika Srpska, more precisely the Police Department of East Sarajevo, and is proceeding according to the orders of the Municipal Court in Visoko.
Searches are being conducted at 16 locations in the Visoko area, six locations in the Breza area, one location in the Sarajevo area and one location in the East Sarajevo area.
As announced by the Ministry of Interior of the ZDK, the aim of the action is the deprivation of liberty of persons who are linked to the commission of criminal offenses related to the abuse of narcotic drugs and illegal possession of weapons.
It is a continuation of the action codenamed “Pyramid”, within the framework of which, in the period from January 1 to April 15, 30 persons were detained and 13 searches were carried out in the area of Visoko, Olov, Breza, Vareš and Sarajevo.
With the joint activities and coordination of the Police Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, the Federal Police Administration and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Srpska, more than four kilograms of the narcotic drug “speed”, 3.2 kg of the narcotic drug “marijuana”, five rifles, three pistols, one hand grenade, ecstasy tablets and paraphernalia for the consumption of narcotic drugs were found.
The ZDK Ministry of Interior states that they will be able to confirm more about the details and results of the action itself after the completion of the indicated ongoing activities.
