The Municipal Court in Sarajevo confirmed the indictment of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor’s Office against Sanjin Avdić, Dženita Riđešić, Muhamed Osmanović, Admir Šenderović, Maida Avdić and Bariša Bejtović. Sanjin Avdić, Dženita Riđešić and Muhamed Osmanović are accused of the criminal offense of participating in a group of people in connection with criminal acts of fraud and fraud in business operations, while Admir Šenderović, Maida Avdić and Bariša Bejtović are accused of the criminal offense of fraud.
Sanjin Avdić, Dženita Riđešić and Muhamed Osmanović are accused of acting as a criminal group from 2019 to 2024, which the KS Prosecutor’s Office accuses of defrauding 32 companies throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina, which they damaged for more than 800,000 KM.
According to the indictment, the members of the group, headed by Sanjin Avdić, had predetermined roles and tasks. They acted in a coordinated manner, following the instructions of the organizers, with the aim of obtaining illegal property benefits. They are accused of misleading the injured by misrepresenting and showing business cooperation, after which they took over goods of higher value without the intention of paying for them. Therefore, the damaged companies delivered goods to them, after which they never collected their claims. Osmanović mainly played the role of intermediary in taking over goods, while Sanjin Avdić organized orders and communication with damaged companies. Sanjin Avdić also enabled the other defendants to obtain illegal benefits by falsely presenting business cooperation with the damaged companies.
In the indictment, the acting prosecutor proposed to the court the confiscation of property benefits from the accused in the amount of 842,833.39 KM. For the main trial, it was proposed to the court to hear 136 witnesses, 3 experts and present 1,052 material evidence.
The filing of the indictment was preceded by a complex investigation by the KS Prosecutor’s Office in cooperation with the KS MUP, the HNK MUP, the ZDK MUP, the USK MUP, the SBK MUP, the ZHK MUP, the Republika Srpska MUP and the police of the Brčko District of BiH and based on the Law on Legal Aid and Cooperation in Criminal Matters between the Federation of BiH, the Republika Srpska and the Brčko District of BiH, announced the KS Prosecutor’s Office.
