Before the preliminary hearing judge of the Cantonal Court in Tuzla, a plea hearing was held in the case which, according to the confirmed indictment of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of Tuzla Canton, is being conducted against Ifeta Karić (63), accused of 21.09.2025. year, in the family house in Donja Orahovica, in a state of significant loss of mental capacity, his wife killed him with a knife.
The accused pleaded not guilty to the criminal offense charged in the indictment.
The judge for the preliminary hearing will, in accordance with the FBiH Criminal Procedure Law, forward the criminal case against the accused to the panel of the Cantonal Court in Tuzla in order to schedule the main trial.

The Supreme Court of FBiH annulled this decision of the Cantonal Court in Tuzla, and then the decision by which custody was ordered for the accused, in the appeal procedure and returned it for a new decision, so the panel of this court reconsidered the proposal of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of TK, and the accused was ordered to be detained due to the danger of repeating the criminal offense, which can last for a maximum of three years after the confirmation of the indictment and before the pronouncement of the first-instance verdict, with the obligation to control the justification of the detention measure.
