Today, the branch office of the Komercial Investment Bank (KiB) from Velika Kladuša was officially opened in Bosanski Petrovac, which ended a two-year period without the presence of banking services in this municipality.
The opening of the branches was greeted with great satisfaction of citizens, especially local businessmen and craftsmen who have so far had to travel to other cities in order to perform both the most basic financial transactions, such as the day-to-day market.
The new office of KiB Bank is a significant step forward for Bosnian Petrovac because it enables easier access to banking services not only to the business community, but also all citizens.
– We opened the branch office in Bosanski Petrovac at the call of the Chief of the Municipality of Bosanski Petrovac. Our greatest contribution here is that we will provide citizens and economic entities available and thus contribute to the development of the local community and we will have the cost-effectiveness of this not in the foreground – said the President of the KiB Bank Board Refik Rošić.
The Chief of Municipality of Bosanski Petrovac Mahmut Jukić pointed out that the opening of the branch is the result of multi-year efforts and negotiations with several banks, but also the social responsibility shown by KiB Bank, transmits Hairdryer.
– Through the past two years, I have done numerous talks with representatives of different banks, but without concrete results. Most of them were conducted exclusively by economic interests, population numbers and possible loans. KiB Bank’s Management Board did not look at Bosanski Petrovac through numbers, but showed solidarity with our citizens and decided to open the branch. It’s a huge step forward for us, “Jukic said.
Haris Mesic, a former candidate for the mayor, which was the initiator of this idea, had a special role in bringing the KiB Bank in Bosnian Petrovac.
– It is sad that in 2025. We celebrate the opening of the bank counters as civilization progress. However, this situation clearly shows where we are today as a society. Although I can’t say that this is a joyful day, it is certainly important and necessary for all of us – said Mešić.
By opening the Branch of KiB Bank, Bosanski Petrovac received access to basic banking services, which creates the preconditions for improving the business environment and quality of life in this municipality.
