Asian-Pacific markets on Friday were mixed while investors analyzed the latest data on Japanese gross domestic product and waited for a number of other economic data from the region.
Japanese Reference Index of Nikkei 225 has dropped by 0.23%, while Topix added 0.12% after the Japanese economy decreased by 0.2% compared to the previous quarter in three months ended in March. Economists who surveyed Reuters estimated economic contraction of 0.1% compared to the previous quarter.
The data comes at a time when the country is in trade negotiations with the United States, and the initial talks between both sides have so far not brought the final agreement, seebiz.

Indian Nifty 50 lost 0.25% on opening.
Hong Kong Hang Seng Index fell by 0.66%, while Chinese CSI 300 dropped by 0.2%.
