According to the latest data from the Agency for Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the first three months of 2025. The number of completed apartments in the country was 914, which is an impressive nominal growth of 43.9% compared to the same period last year.
In the first quarter of 2024. 635 apartments were completed, while the year earlier, in the same period, 621 completed apartment. This data clearly indicate the revival of the real estate market and increased activity in the housing sector.
On the other hand, the number of unfinished apartments at the end of the first quarter of 2025. It reached 6,424, which is 17% more than the end of the first quarter of 2024. years. These statistics indicate continuous growth in the construction of new residential buildings, but also a significant amount of projects that are still in the construction phase.
It is important to note that these figures include exclusively new apartments, ie those built in brand new buildings raised in locations where there were no objects or previous facilities crashed. Also, the records include the added or upgraded apartments on existing buildings, if these spaces were treated as new housing units.
These indicators represent a positive sign for the development of housing construction in BiH, but also challenges related to the completion of projects currently underway.
